Meet Daryl
Friends and neighbors – My name is Daryl D’Angelo, and I’m running for NH House of Representatives, Hillsborough District 37 — representing Amherst and Milford — as a Classic Liberal candidate.
I’ve been deeply involved in conservation, sampling our River, starting Amherst’s Trail Steward’s program, and serving as the ACC chair. I served on Souhegan’s Community Council. I coached bowling for ten years and started a program that brought Milford and Amherst kids in together, and led to Milford starting its own HS team. My husband John is serving his 11th year on Amherst’s Board of Selectmen.
We’ve probably met, kayaking on our shared river or across a pickleball net at either the Boys and Girls Club or at Keyes.
This community is my home, and its future matters deeply to me.
I hope you’ll wander around this site, as well as the NH Classic Liberal site. I bring a clear set of values, and an entire political tradition: tolerance, limited government, free speech, individual liberty, free markets, and the basic dignity of ordinary people building lives for themselves and their families.
Classic Liberal values are New Hampshire values.
Values
Individual Liberty & Free Speech
Taking control of your own decisions and protecting the fundamental right to free expression and open dialogue.
Limited Government & Free Markets
Keeping state interference minimal to let the economy thrive, lowering structural barriers for everyone.
Tolerance & Human Dignity
Respecting ordinary individuals who are working hard every day to build stable lives for their families.
A Practical, Non-Partisan Approach to Local Governance
Breaking the Partisan Lens
The issues currently facing the towns of Amherst and Milford are entirely solvable. However, regional progress is consistently blocked by viewing local governance through a rigid partisan lens that obscures practical solutions.
Democracy belongs to Ordinary People
True self-governance means that regular citizens do not need to sit on the sidelines waiting for permission from party insiders to participate. Free people have the right and the responsibility to step forward and help govern themselves.
